Pros

Emphasis on member experience and mission. Benefits, incentives, and amenities (gyms, cafeterias, Starbucks and Subway). Management really puts great importance on your growth and career.

Cons

Very little work-life balance. Overload of work for what we get paid. Doing the job of 5 people as one person. Lots of stress and pressure trying to handle your files, take inbound calls, follow up on voicemails and work efficiently. Claims never slows down and it can get very overwhelming.

Pros

The best thing about USAA would be be people who work at the company. The benefits are also good.

Cons

There is entirely too much micromanagement for anyone at the company who is on a member contact team. Lateral promotion potential is almost nonexistent unless you've been around the company years. Pay wasn't equivalent to rest of industry.
