Pros

Nothing good about this place

Cons

Micromanaged, they discriminate and very hostile environment, minimal training and they will lie and and tell you they will give additional training, you have to ask for a raise, very high turnover rate, very low morale and can't keep clients because they treat employees like prisoners.

Your comments are disheartening. At USCB, we hire individuals who seek growth, stability and long term career. Some of our employees may feel they are being “micromanaged” but our management team does a great job at making sure the work is being done and our client’s information is protected. We take any form of discrimination very seriously and any allegations are investigated thoroughly. Even though you didn't find success within your 3-4 years at USCB, we wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Your comments are a bit contradicting. The business of collections is not for everyone and can be challenging and demanding at times. Our call centers are fast-paced, however, those who are willing to put in the effort can reap in the rewards and monthly bonuses.

Pros

I can't even think of one to be completely honest. The only good thing that came out of this job is the friends that I made despite management's attempts to keep us away from each other.

Cons

It seemed like an ongoing issue among the CRS is their issues with management. In my very short time here I was discriminated against, retaliated against, and overall borderline tormented by the management at the Elk Grove location. When I brought up my issues about management fraternization, alienation, and discrimination absolutely nothing was done and they fired me shortly after. The dress code is discriminatory to anyone plus size or with a physical disability such as back issues. When I was given temporary accommodation for the dress code and options to wear, I wore something that fit in the criteria and was sent home without pay. When I spoke to HR to get a better understanding I got no further explanation or help on the matter. It says in the handbook that accommodations would be made for this but with no doc note but when I asked for one it required a doc note. When I asked for accommodation for my disability, like a standing desk, they said they couldn't accommodate me and asked for a doctor's recommendation to have me work from home. I couldn't get the recommendation to work from home, they forced me to stay in the office with no standing desk. This is just a FRACTION of the issues that I and others had to deal with at this place.

I am fairly certain I know who wrote this review, and I agree we never got on the same page. While we can’t go into much detail in this forum, we can both say we spoke regularly to address the issues you raised while you worked at USCB. I also know that these issues were not all resolved in your favor, but they were resolved according to our written policies, and that is really the fairest way to treat all of our team members. If you would like to discuss any lingering issues with us, Please call HR at 213-387-6181 during work hours, and we would be happy to address your concerns the best we can.
