Pros

Amazing people, amazing boss! Fun place to work! Three current office locals in the Chicago area: Elgin, Rockford and the newest office is in Park Ridge, opened in June 2016. Office environment is a family feel, they really care about the individual and support their success. Tons of resources available from weekly conference calls to training videos. If ever there is an issue or questions needs answered someone is always willing to help out. No sense of hierarchy, everyone is equal. Educational support provided during licensing exams and process. Flexible schedule! Work/life balance, get out it what you put in. If you want to be the best you'll be working Monday through Sunday 7am-9pm, but if you've got family or other priorities than you decide what's most important. Leads are provided at no cost to the agent. Commission structure is amazing $$$ Paid on a weekly basis. Lunch provided most days and weekly staff meetings with complimentary breakfast and celebratory office outings for milestones achieved. Health coverage products offered really are the best of the best! Great coverage at unbeatable prices.

Cons

You are an insurance agent whose sole purpose is to sell health coverage to small business owners and wealthy individuals, this is a SALES job. 100%commission. No base, no PTO, no benefits. You're technically "self employed". 300+ calls per day will hopefully result in a solid sale. While leads are provided some might as well be cold calling. Constant rejection and monotonous. Some favoritism from management, but then again some people are just really hard to get along with. Takes the right type of person to success in this role. Life, health, accident producers license is required and they do not pay for it. Comes out of your own pocket, class and exams fees were $300+

Pros

They appeal to aspirations of salesperson and promise HOPE (Helping Other People Everyday). This is what attracted me to apply to the position.

Cons

Subtle sarcasm on part of head of satellite office was evident and obvious. They apparently do not appreciate being questioned on details. Apparently US Health Advisors seeks clapping seal employees that spoon up their pablum of canned presentations.

My name is Bill Shelton and I am the Sr. Vice President of Marketing for USHEALTH Advisors, LLC. I want to thank you for your candid comments regarding our company. I think it's safe to say that your experience in Boca Raton, FL. fell short of your expectations. This could be due to a variety of factors such as personality conflicts or simply a need for more information. Your advice to "expect, invite, welcome and address serious direct questions in a respectful way", has not fallen on deaf ears. I welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns. Please contact me directly at 817-878-3823 or via email at bill.shelton@ushadvisors.com.

Pros

Flexible work schedule, sales advisors are readily available

Cons

You don't get many leads as you are promised. I was promised 15 a Week and I was getting 2-3 per week.

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate your candor and we will use your comments to help us build a better opportunity. While USHEALTH Advisors does, in fact, offer free leads to its contracted agents, any details regarding a specific number of leads per week would have to be discussed locally. Of course, company-provided leads can only take a career so far. The most successful agents typically engage in their own marketing efforts to build a pipeline of potential customers that supplements the free leads provided by the company.
