Management is horrible/ was willing to take a lesser paying job just to have job security/ its sad because I was so happy the first 7 years and then a change in management made me start looking for a new career

They were so focused on keeping customers happy that it almost felt as if customers discovered the more vile they were to the employees, the more of a credit they would get in the long run. Despite being there for almost two years and making it clear how badly I wanted to advance my career, I didn't feel that I given the chance. I also felt like there was no work/life balance. Every year there is a shift bid, and you can be stuck with an 8 hour shift ranging anywhere from 7 am to 11 pm Monday-Sunday depending on how your performance was in the previous quarters. It was very disruptive to every day life and was difficult to manage having to change my schedule once per year.
