You are treated very poorly by management. I witnessed a young woman who is an assistant in a department be spoken to so horribly by manager that I was emarassed for her. The assistant begged me not to speak up out of fear for their job. Management is out for themselves only and making money. They do not seem to care much for the lower class people that do the work daily to bring in and keep students. The rules are different for each person.

Department heads are highly educated but they lack the vision of "normal" folks. As they keep getting raises they sit higher in the ivory tower not caring about the common folk. And there never ending ability to mess up even the most simple of tasks is astonishing.
