Pros

It's a job and some good people work there.

Cons

Horrible, unprofessional management. Disrespectful of employees. Lack of privacy. Conformity, lack of personal expression. Expectation to be an automaton.

Pros

-Discount -Flexible schedule -Salon discount is nice That's about it.

Cons

-Horrible pay -Underappreciated -Extremely demanding for no reason -Made to bleach down the whole store (IN ALL BLACK!) but they won't provide an allowance for all the clothes you mess up -You're more of a janitor than a cashier -Entitled customers that don't understand the concept of a coupon with fine print. You've been a "loyal" customer for "years" yet you still don't know that you can't use a 3.50 coupon on Bare Minerals. -No breaks -You can barely keep water at the cash wrap and they when you ask to go get some they look at you as if you're going to be gone for hours. You end up feeling like you're an inmate smuggling cigarettes. -After 3 years, and constantly being recognized as the only person who contributes to Brand success, there's still no benefits, breaks, or pay. A .14cent raise? really? -The only reason I'm still here is because I like getting my hair done for 20 bucks :)

Pros

I am really stumped. I want to write something. There just isn't anything.

Cons

1. You will be lied to. I was told that I would be making a $1 more an hour than I am. 2. Your hours will be cut. Always. And usually right before Christmas. I was told that I would be working 32 hours a week. On a good week I work 22. 3. The salon is dirty. Not because you do not clean it, but because it is more than light cleaning dirt. Walls need to be scrubbed, baseboards cleaned, floors polished, etc. 4. No education at all for Estheticians. OK, minimal. You will sometimes be allowed to attend a Dermalogica class. However when you do your hours will be cut to make up for the time you were gone. It will take Ulta about 4 weeks to reimburse you for gas. 5. You will be lied to again. You will be told that you are going to be paid for Dermalogica training and you will not be paid. 6. You will not have proper supplies. You will be told to buy them yourself. If you are really lucky than your manager will buy them out of her own pocket and ask if you really need them. 7. You will not have the supplies to follow your skin care protocols. However you will still be expected to service the customer. 8. Your steamer will break since you do not have distilled water. You will wait several weeks for a new one. Never mind that many skin care services require the use of a steamer and clients expect it. 9. Washing machine breaks. You will be told to take home the laundry and do it yourself. Do not be surprised if you are told to reuse or not use towels for a service.
