Cons

I am very new to the company and still learning. Having been around for over 75 years, the company is still learning and growing - not a con, per se, but something with which a prospective employee needs to be comfortable.

Pros

When a company offers a "flexible" schedule it comes with its limitations on how flexible they are willing to be. Ulteig truly offers a flexible schedule that can keep up with busy working parents and high speed children’s schedules and offers telecommuting options, so you can wrap up your day from home later that evening, so you don’t miss practice or that important recital. The benefits package Ulteig offers is also top tier. One of the biggest benefits offered is the ESOP program, a huge incentive to work hard in a talented and friendly environment.

Cons

Every company has it's missing links, Ulteig is great about listening and trying to improve in areas employees feel they are lacking in. One that comes to mind is new hire (departmental specific) training. There should be a better training protocol for new hires directly focused on departmental needs and day to day tasks. Hitting the ground running isn’t as effective for some people as it is for others.

Great work environment, tons of people to meet and all of them are nice! Good retirement options and tons of opportunities for growth, willing to work with employees

Cons

Lower than average pay for an electrical engineer, may need a lot of travel time, lots of on and off work (dead days and weeks where you cant finish stuff)
