Pros

UMA has an amazing work place environment. The company is growing rapidly, so there is a great sense that if you work hard you will be promoted. We work hard, but play hard as well. UMA offers team sports for anything you can think of (even Dragon boat races!). They celebrate their employees with award shows and there is always a pot luck going on! Overall, UMA is an amazing place to work.

Cons

The company is young so there are some growing pains to work through. PTO is not earned until after you are made a permanent emplyee (over 90 days).

Thanks for the great feedback. There is nothing like working for a company that has a great work environment and we appreciate the fact that you believe we have that at UMA. UMA is definitely a family and you mentioned a portion of that when you brought up team sports. We love to get together outside of work to play sports and relax. Thanks again for all of your feedback and thanks for helping make UMA great!

Pros

Diverse group of employees. Activities to make things fun. It is a pleasure to work with the students and graduates. Improving the training program.

Cons

Major changes at a moments notice. Recognized for "leading the pack" one minute and then told "I don't know what you do" the next. Reactive to problems, while ignoring pending issues. No prevention. Hires and fires without hesitation. Senior employees have been there 1-3 years. Most people don't make it 3 months in Career Services.

Pros

pay, pay, pto, pay, remote

Cons

unrealistic metric, your job is basically on the line because of the student accountability. Micromanagement, calling people like we are bill collectors, if you don’t meet budget, you are slowly out the door. You have to work a weekend day still calling people to get enrollments. It’s mental draining when you can meet budget and you are not sure if you will have a job at the end of each cycle which can vary from 2 weeks or 3 weeks from the next start class date.
