Pros

The passion of the teams that work here is invigorating. Each team works tirelessly to uphold the school's student first mission and to see the students that they support succeed. The job is extremely rewarding and the environment is very encouraging as well. Watching the CEO of the company spend over two hours thanking each of his employees and handing out soda at an employee appreciation event was enough to let me know that this is the right place for me. The institution has a strong commitment to both the success of their employees and the success of their students. This is the right place for me.

Cons

As of yet, there are none.

High turnover, decent base pay, little benefits, shrinking company.

Pros

Good salaries, crazy parties, always something happening, never boring

Cons

No training, very bad benefits, work life balance is awful, co-workers get arrested, extremely high turnover at all levels. Most positions are revolving door all the way to the executive level positions. Turnover in admissions, career services, student finance, and learner services is beyond belief. Little chance at a real promotion. Always worried regulators will shut the school down.

Helping soon-to-be graduates start their careers in the field of healthcare is both rewarding and highly demanding, and we applaud our staff members that are able to persist at tackling this challenge. Your feedback underscores our high expectations of each team member at fulfilling our commitment to the student and often the byproduct can be certain team members realizing this is not the career path for them. We are sorry to hear that you feel some of our staff worry that the school is in danger. UMA is in fact very sound and maintains multiple accreditations, approvals and memberships to show our commitment to not only our students and alumni but also our faculty and staff. As a current employee we encourage you to reach out to your manager, department head or a member of our human resources team to discuss the issues you are experiencing so they can help you have the best experience possibly during your time at UMA. Thanks again for your feedback and for being a part of the UMA team.
