Pros

-they pay slightly higher than other retail chains -- $12/hr in SF (almost $2 above minimum wage) -30% employee discount on regular priced merchandise -they are steadfast on employees taking the appropriate breaks following labor laws -they purchased pizza for the staff during SF Flagship's grand opening (though there's so many employees, not everyone got some.) -they offer overtime (and mandate it at other times...)

Cons

- mandated 12 hour shifts (many of them overnight --- MANY of them consecutive overnight and overtime shifts: 6 pm - 8 am shifts, 12am - 2 pm shifts, 11 pm - 8 am shifts, etc.) - not allowing us to call in sick or adjust our schedules for certain weeks - demanded we RUN through dangerous construction zones with no hardhats or protection while carrying heavy boxes (the construction workers were in dismay) - repeatedly scheduling us OUTSIDE of our availability and telling us they are unable to change it or that we need to use one of our only 3 allotted call-ins if we are unable to come in - scheduling employees OVER 40 HOURS when we all only agreed to be part-time, even when employees specifically state they CAN NOT work over 20 hours -- they are still scheduled for 42 hours - demanding we work in silence, often times entire shifts were done in complete silence - reprimanding employees for having any personal belongings on us while on the floor (chapstick, wallet, cellphone, TISSUES!!!) but yet not having a secure place to store these items in the break room or anywhere else (there are lockers, but not enough for all of the staff and even fewer have actual locks this is a company that doesn't care about their employees what so ever. very very very high turn over rate.

Pros

health insurance, staff that work there and get you through the day (everyday)

Cons

No work life balance. Verbal and mental abuse. no respect for anyone's life outside of work. HR always takes the company's side despite proof or experience of mental and verbal abuse. If you are an asian female they will promote you. If you are a minority good luck feeling appreciated.

Pros

Honestly best thing about working here are the co-workers & the 30% discount

Cons

where do I begin... First, if you thinking working here is like working in any other retailer, you're in for a rude awakening. This store is strict. No leaning, no chewing gum, don't come late, wear all black everything, perform and memorize the 636 standard phrases and policy, daily meetings, always have pouch on you at all times, etc. management overlooks the hard workers. if you want to move up you need to kiss up to them, which is pathetic. If you're an introvert it's really hard to shine. MOST Supervisor do nothing but sit on their arse all day. Nowadays if you mid or close that shift be prepared to stay later than you are scheduled. pay rate is not worth it for the hours we worked and standing on our feet all day. the atmosphere feels like you're in prison because you feel you're always being watched. customers can sometimes give you trouble and impatient when you're dealing with multiple things.
