Pros

The training is hands on and incremental so what you are learning sticks. Good pay structure and incentives. Great culture and atmosphere to excel in.

Cons

Like any career you must be willing to work hard and face adversity. If you like to be challenged, competitive, are results-driven, and motivated then this a opportunity for you. If not, maybe you should not be in sales.

Pros

It is a true sales job; if you work hard you will be rewarded. I have been with the company for almost three years now and I have to say that if you are driven by money and you want a career and not just a short term sales job, then Unishippers could be the job you have been looking for. Since it is a franchise based company different owners run their business differently but the people that own my franchise have really helped me to grow not only financially but as an individual. Selling a service that helps people to reduce the overhead for their company at no cost to them and no contracts is a no-brainer for a sales job. Best decision I have made to date.

Cons

Need to be a hard worker and self motivated. (Not really a con.)

Pros

Excellent training program and day to day support from an experienced customer service team allows the sales professional to focus on building his/her book of business rather than spending valuable time on administrative tasks. Good negotiated rates with our carriers allows us to be competitive on most levels. The partnership with UPS is a great way to offer a well rounded menu of services to our customers and creates longevity with customers.

Cons

The freight industry is highly competitive and not for the faint of heart. Occasionally circumstances beyond our control (ie: missed pick ups, lost or damaged freight) can be challenging and result in lost business with an otherwise solid account.
