Pros

Training is above average; You are expected to be accountable for your margin, which means you will make money as long as you meet your quotas.

Cons

Sometimes it could really make you angry when you could save a company a fortune, and they chose to stay with their current carrier. The key here is to work with the actual decision maker and not the person who SAYS they are the DM.

Pros

Unishippers provides a solid foundation for a career in sales. They provide good sales training, a good product to sell, and the flexibility to manage your own success. Unishippers is a great stepping stone to gain experience and move on in your professional career. If you can find a specific industry nitch, then there may be opportunity for great success.

Cons

Unishippers is limited in their global reach and diversity. They are particularly strong in the domestic LTL and Small Parcel market, however, they are not very strong in the international market (ie. air freight, ocean freight, customs brokerage, cross-dock, supply chain management). Also, their system for sales reps could be better. They impose a margin requirement which doubles each month. It eventually ends up eating into your profit margins and burns out the sales rep. It is no surprise why sales reps don't last there more than about a year or two.

Pros

One of the best opportunities I have ever looked into. Hard work and effort are directly translated into profits. Rates and relationships with carriers is far better than any other 3PL. Once the economy turns around, there will be no stopping our growth.

Cons

Rough ride having to switch from DHL to UPS. Still have issues to resolve and improve in this area. Corporate must work harder to assist those franchise that are "doing" and getting it done versus worrying about those that can't seem to get it in gear.
