Paid training and flexible work environment. Management really cares and wants to see you succeed and will help you find your way to success. Family like environment where everyone wants to help each other.

Cons

Tough industry to be in. Very competitive. Industry naturally brings a lot of logistic issues that are out of your control.

Pros

THIS IS ONLY A REVIEW ON THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA/STANTON CA FRANCHISE/OFFICE!!! I have been working for Unishippers for 4 years now and I could not be happier with the experience that I have been provided. I came to Unishippers straight out of college with no experience at all and they have helped me pave my way to success. I can only speak on behalf of my Franchise here in Southern California, but my experience was been awesome! Pros: - Family environment: My manager and our owner care for their reps and their employees like family. They always look out for us and take our best interest in mind. Even when tough decisions need to be made, they are open and honest with us which makes us feel valued. - work/life balance: I get to work from my home office and out in the field for a majority of the time. This helps cut down on traffic and commuting which gives me more time with my family. (this does not mean you get to slack off though) You must me be very self motivated. - work environment: awesome group of colleagues that get along well and often get together outside of the office. I have created life long friendships here. - Compensation: capability to easily make 100K+ after your first 18 months with the company if you work hard. Very fair compensation plan with our bonuses and commissions. Our compensation plan encourages you to work hard and keep grinding. - perks - Yearly trip to Mexico (all expenses paid) for platinum club members to enjoy some time off with friends and colleagues. - Autonomy - I work on my own without my manager breathing down my neck to check in or prove to him that I did my job everyday. They trust me and when you work hard, your numbers will speak for themselves. - investment opportunity

Cons

- if you don't like to work hard and are not self motivated, this place is not for you - the freight industry is messy and unpredictable. It can be very stressful at times. - customers can be really frustrating and annoying. - don't expect a typical sales job with low hours and great pay. The work that you put in will drive your earnings potential. - nothing negative about the company and more specifically the franchise i work for though.
