Pros

The mission drives the agency in all it does! There's always decisions staff may not agree with, but when it comes down to it, UMFS cares about kids and families, as well as its staff! Benefits are excellent, collaborative and supportive culture, great trainings.

Cons

Salaries could be higher. I sometimes wish leadership team would accept feedback from staff, but that's hard in every company.

unsafe school

Pros

-good medical benefits -many good, hard working, lower level staff who eagerly offer support to help you

Cons

-students are unsafe. Charterhouse puts sexual predators in same classrooms as sexual trauma victims (despite claiming to be a therapeutic environment) because it makes more profit for the school. -staff are unsafe, both physically and job security wise. Lower level staff (support coaches, teachers, and therapist) get cycled in and out through out the year, mysteriously vanishing for never explained reasons. Good teachers are often bullied out or terminated for vague reasons. -UMFS hides behind nice slogans, and a facade of pretend administrative positivism.

They do not care about employees or the children that they assist

Pros

The insurance was good. Could have been a very rewarding career.

Cons

You are given job duties, of course. Unfortunately when you try to do your job correctly you are so micro manged you are held back and then criticized. The children were tough but managable if you are allowed to do you job but again the micro managing is terrible. The favoritism is horrible. If you are a favorite you get by with anything, treating the children poorly especially and if you are not...dont expect to move up. HR is just disrespectful if you need help with anything. I have never EVER had a company HR be so disrespectful and even lies to get you in trouble, it was unreal that a company that provides this type of services would be so fake in how they represent themselves. A LOT of drugs amongst the employees, even an on campus dealer, very shameful. And to top it off their are bed bugs, yes bed bugs. They claim to treat but it does no good and it has truly spread from cottage to cottage and also families whose children are there and employees as well, and no they will not pay for the families or employees bed bug treatments even though you are made to be exposed to them on a dailey bases.
