Pros

I love the culture here. My team is very friendly and my boss is great. The FOCUS values are wonderful, and I like that they pursue those values as it does make the workplace a better place to be. My boss does not micro-manage, and trusts me to do what needs done. He always has my back and gives me more work when I ask for it. He's very hands-off and I appreciate that. My input is valued. We are constantly asked for our opinion on processes and workflows to help improve things. They try to pull people from multiple teams to get a wider range of perspective on changes, which I appreciate. Good starting pay. Good benefits. Healthcare, dental, vision. They match part of your contributions to 401K. PTO is easy to use. Flexible company that is willing to change and adapt as needed They promote and encourage moving around within the company to other positions if you want to Education reimbursement for continuing your education, and free learning opportunities are provided some times My position has paid on-call required, but how much on-call we take is up to us as a team. We can always change it up too if we need to. I have been on call once a month, every other week, and other rotations.

Cons

The FOCUS values and style of management is not consistent. Some departments are better than others and it can take awhile for personnel that needs to be changed/removed to be taken care of. I wish raises were better, they are lower than I am used to from other positions, but this is my first corporate position I've had so it may be on track with others. You have one pool for PTO that you use for sick days, vacation, and 6 recognized holidays. (I would put this more in a neutral category, but some people do find this a con) PTO rate has been lowered recently as part of the benefits being overhauled. I don't mind the slight decrease as I always have enough PTO, but I don't use my PTO very often.
