Pros

Can learn a lot. A lot of experienced nurses mixed with a substantial amount of 0-2 year ICU experience nurses.

Cons

Can be a little cut-throat at times. A lot of micro-managers and the pay is horrible. Not a lot of room for advancement within the unit.

Pros

Making your own schedule, flexible schedule most of the time.

Cons

Lack of communication, lack of training, computer issues with charting. When I worked in the hospital in did not have these troubles, but with the computers for homecare it is contestant troubles. The charting is very long, and take hours to do even when you get proficient at it.

Pros

Resource pool allows me to learn alot more while still in nursing school. This has helped me figure what departments i might want to work in after graduation.

Cons

The pay is too low for the task involved.
