UnityPoint Health reviews about "benefit"

I’m leaving UnityPoint soon. I like working here but I just can’t justify why they spend so much money on travelers everywhere instead of paying their nurses a lot more to stay. I’ll never understand.

Maternity leave wasn’t great, the parking security will give anyone a ticket or a boot

Communication can be rough because it's such a big company. Also, while it is accessible for people in wheelchairs or with other disabilities in MANY ways, I see ways it can be improved upon. I have disabled coworkers that struggle. Not very much but there's always room for improvement. Also, a lot of information gets missed because you are trained by random team members, not leaders. I was trained by someone who didn't know all the answers to everything herself. This can be dangerous since we work directly with patients. Also, within the staffing offices, there are people who try to be in charge of everyone else even though they have no seniority. They're mean, they tell lies about people they don't like to other team members, and they try to be completely in charge of everyone. Most people get a long well and work together well. I got a long with most people but there were a few people that were so unwelcoming and rude I dreaded working in certain areas within my department. And it doesn't seem like there's anyone to turn to.

Pay, patient load, benefits, micromanaging at time.

Doesn’t care much about employees. You’re just a number

Overwhelming patient to nurse ratio

Not a family friendly company to corporate
