Pros

Up to date with technology and current market conditions. Constantly striving to be better in the market and not afraid of change. Office environment (furniture, building, etc.) is very nice. Really good medical benefits- loved White Glove.

Cons

Management. When I first started at UFCU... I LOVED it. I couldn't say enough great things about it. However after working there a couple years our pay structure was changed and more team members added to our team which drastically brought down our income. There was no sense of care from management as they were doing what was best for them. I became disheartened and my motivation at work dropped off and I eventually left to work elsewhere. I have heard they have restructured the pay since then but still have quite a few friends left that are still dissatisfied with the culture and management. When I first started they raved about how you can move to different areas of the company to work. I desperately tried to move into a couple other departments before I quit but they were not open to the change.

There are amazing people because this organization is all about member service and doing what's best for people. If you are looking for a mission, the credit union cause is a great one to fight for. You have a great deal of freedom to make a difference in people's lives. The CEO is a phenomenal motivational leader and there are many talented leaders throughout the organization.

Cons

Over the past few years they have increased hiring from banks and unfortunately that is changing the culture of this credit union. The focus has changed substantially from "Relationships are all there is" to "Numbers are all that matter."
