Pros

- Remote friendly company - Amazing culture - Diverse - Great management - Visibility into other departments - High performing CS team - Lots of financial backing - WFH Stipend - No client meetings on Thursday - Great work/life balance Overall, UpKeep is a really great company and an amazing opportunity for anyone looking to get into the SaaS world.

Cons

There are not really any cons besides the typical startup pains. - Pay is below market compared to other SaaS companies. - High turnover in sales causes a lot of kickbacks. - It's a common thing to have customers slightly irritated about being over-sold on the product. - Lack of upward mobility due to availability within the company. Upward mobility is on a needs basis. As the company continues to grow, this will become more available.

Pros

-Colleagues are awesome and always willing to help. -Product has found product market fit and has great reviews from customers. -Opportunities to learn since company is growing.

Cons

-Salaries are pretty average for the market. I would consider it pretty low for a high-growth startup. -Leadership keeps asking for feedback from the team via surveys, but no action is ever done on the feedback. -Leadership feels fake. Not inspiring at all. -Poor benefits. No 401K matching. Health Insurance contributions % is applied to the basic plan. If you need a PPO, be ready to pay a lot. -Low raises. Don't expect anything significant for your performance review. -Career Advancement - Don't expect to get promoted into a manager, director, or VP role here. Most of these people are external hires.

Our HR team is in the process of improving our benefits package now that we have exceeded 100 people and new health insurance packages are available. Impossible for salespeople, Great for the rest it seems

Pros

Great for young professionals right out of college. Nice, friendly people make UpKeep's startup-like culture great. You may get a $25 Amazon gift card and free lunches every now and then.

Cons

You truly want to see UpKeep succeed but they sure do make it harder for themselves. Subpar management from the very top with fake transparency throughout. Fails to create processes that work despite the number of managers they hire. Product is asthetically pleasing but leaves much to desire for the indsutry as a whole. No career advancement as sales success is close to impossible so good luck making commission on top of your already low base salary.
