Pros

Zero. This is a corrupt lending company.

Cons

Of the 8 co-founders at upgrade ZERO are people of color and only 1 is a woman. If Upgrade were a plantation all the people of color would be working in the fields.

Pros

Free snacks and that’s about it.

Cons

The negative reviews have been accurate. This place is a complete joke and management has no idea what they are doing. Management tends to force new policy changes based on what sounds good vs what’s practical. Yes, it is true that other Supervisors steal your loans and assign them to their agents when you are out of the office. This place is extremely shady. Management is not willing to admit volume of work has decreased, if that’s not the case then they have overhired. The production goals are not obtainable with the low volume of work. In order to come close to meeting your production goals you have to steal loans from your co-workers when they are out of the office. Does this sound ethical? The Director walks around and makes people feel uncomfortable by standing behind you while you are working. I have no idea how he even got this job. He is super creepy and may even have aspergers. Having an interview with him will be one of the most awkward moments of your life. This place try’s to make you feel like your job is on the line at all times. Instead providing employees with incentives for hitting your goals, they try to make you fee like you may lose your job at anytime if your production goes down even in a low volume environment like it is now. The training is completly a joke because the matierial that’s covered is outdated. Everything management implements is on experimental basis because they are completely clueless. Only take this job if you are desperate for money. There are better jobs out there for $20 an hour.

Pros

Free snacks? 2 monitors at your desk?

Cons

As a startup company, they have a long road ahead of them. Other companies have gone full speed ahead with their technology, yet with Upgrade, they still don't have their stuff together. Everything changes on a daily basis because turnover rate has become so high. By the time you get done with training, 50% of what you learned is no longer applied once you are on the floor. Essentially it is a waste of time. Managers walk up and down the aisles making sure you're answering the calls or they get mad at you. There will be times when you're on your break and the Director will come and ask you to get back on the calls (yup, while you're on break!) Very few of the managers are professional and willing to lend a hand, but others just have absolutely no idea of the company's own policies or procedures and will question you about it. Call volume is so high, Credit Specialist 1's are not able to handle it on their own. If you prefer not to have a manager hover over you, apply to be a Credit Specialist 2, they are treated much differently and have completely different goals. Communication within the managers is null. Credit Specialist 1's are really aka Customer Service.
