It is quite difficult to manage the partner relationships and to help them, most being technical in nature in the process of managing the new business process. The desire in that partner community to continue to seek out new opportunities rather than only focusing on managing the current base of clients.
As such, it is on the partner management team to consistently deliver value and that trusted advisor relationship to the partner community. We at FileBound do not want to be looked at as just another vendor, but a partner who brings value to the end user relationship and support from sales, to marketing, to social media all the way through technical and new and current product developmental support.
Bringing this message on a daily basis without being viewed as "too pushy" or "too used car salesy" is a difficult balance to maintain. But isn't this the case in all sales management/partner relationships? It is indeed like a marriage. There are really great days when it seems like there is great news around every corner, and there are disasters that we all have to live through, support each other and lift each other up in the wisdom and knowledge that the end is in sight and we can work together, FileBound, our partners and their clients to resolve ANY issue that arises.
It is fun, exciting and yet challenging, but that is exactly the way you have to look at any opportunity to improve. Learn from what went wrong, understand and implement in rapid succession, what is going right and push on towards the pinnacle of success that every one desires in the end.
So good, bad or ugly, we all have to work hard to be positive, take an "UPward" view of every occasion to not fail and move forward, not looking back but ahead to the end result, which brings happiness and joy to all involved in the resolution of any issue that arises. And to make the best of all successes and share those with others around us so that they can benefit from the challenges others have gone through and succeeded in pushing through to the successful end.
