Cons

The organization recently went through a re-organization so some kinks are still being worked out in terms of roles, decision making, and culture, but it is on a forward trajectory and senior leadership has invested a lot of time and attention in making this a great place to work with huge impact across the United States.

Centered on the mission, generous salaries, rich growth & development opportunities & no shortage of talented, super bright people to partner with.

Cons

Not really a con of Upstream; but more a reality of our current times that we are still operating in a remote environment. It can be very challenging to not have more face-to-face, in person connections with our colleagues, however fortunately we are starting to build back in team events.

Pros

Innovative, forward-thinking and mission-driven organization. There is never a doubt in my mind that I am doing impactful work at Upstream. The compensation and benefits package is competitive and generous for a nonprofit. Leadership seems to genuinely care about equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace practices.

Cons

As with every company, there are growing pains. Many tools, systems, and processes are still being built out and fine-tuned. The fast pace is not for everyone.
