Poorly managed, no direction.

Pros

Benefits were great and my small team worked very well together.

Cons

The company overall is poorly managed and feels like they're in an identity crisis. From the moment I started, it felt like there was news every few weeks of a management role exiting the company. Many not of their own volition. I had been told to disregard negative Glassdoor reviews as they had to go through necessary cuts a few years ago but had moved past that... until it happened to me and many others. I watched senior leadership be promoted only to have their roles deemed "unnecessary and redundant" just months later. Uptake attempts to grow far faster than they can handle (repeatedly) and when they can't find their place in the market (because they don't know who they are or what they bring to the table) they cut the workforce.

We appreciate your feedback on both the pros and cons of working at Uptake. We are so glad you liked your team and the benefits package we offered. We understand confusion always comes with tough business decisions. It was not easy, but Uptake made tough calls in places we had to in order for the organization to continue building a company with a mission to serve our customers and industries worldwide. Like many companies at our stage, we've made some strategic shifts based on our ever-evolving market. We're confident in our product-first direction as a business today and continue to grow and evolve. The added focus, combined with having the right talent in place, puts us in a strong position to continue to grow and gain market share. We're proud of the recent momentum of our Uptake Fleet product. With Uptake Fleet's predictive technology, our customers can avoid costly breakdowns and extend the life of their vehicles!

Pros

At the beginning in 2016 we were enthusiastic about the future of our company. Data Science is their specialty.

Cons

Terrible, chaotic leadership with many executives hired then fired in short term as company struggled to find a place in the market. Brad's vision for Uptake was and is all over the place and it shows in the business.
