The other staff were polite and welcoming during the time I worked there. I enjoyed working with my clients, finding placements, and learning new skills which I could implement in a new job.

Cons

Purna Veer is not an effective leader. He created an atmosphere of fear and a level of toxicity that is unprecedented in this day and age. Upper management turnover was very high and no one was happy to come to work. The pay was substandard (particularly for women) and Mr. Veer back tracked on promised bonuses. Avoid this company at all costs, it is a sinking ship.

While we normally do not respond to insulting behavior I thought it worthwhile to highlight that the highest-paid non-owner manager is female, and the highest-paid company producer is female. Bonuses are not altered, and are based on metrics; if metrics are not hit employee should not expect the bonus to be paid. Our senior management in charge of national sales, regional sales, recruiting, and HR have been in there roles for substantially longer than a year with no recent turnover. Pros

V-Soft has a friendly atmosphere and their employees are nice to work with. The company goes to great lengths to do team building exercises, which helps ensure a good work atmosphere. The company is expanding and has seen revenue grow consistently while I've been employed here. Telecommuting is acceptable for certain departments when requested in advance. CEO Purna Veer is genuinely concerned for the well being of his employees. Training is widely available.

Cons

Few formal processes and defined job roles. Usually some confusion over authority on a given issue. Because V-Soft is rapidly expanding there is a disconnect between an idealized company hierarchy and the hierarchy in practice. The reliance on offshore labor also creates a gap between the business structure and the actual business processes. Due to the lack of formalized job titles and responsibilities, there are often inter-departmental conflicts and stonewalling. Benefits are on the sparse side, but are improving. Telecommuting for certain jobs is virtually not allowed. Planning for IT infrastructure is almost non-existent, with each department making demands and every project being weighted the same priority.

I loved working on the team I did. The people on my direct team were some of the most knowledgable in the company and they helped me learn and grow. They were also a great support system for me while I was still getting my feet wet.

Cons

Leadership doesnt communicate or seem to have reasoning behind anything they do. The executives seem to make the environment into "us versus our employees." They put on a nice face, but really its all about the short term. There seems to be little to know long-term stability
