Great pet employee discount, decent benefits, learned from some great technicians. Great if you are able to learn with little guidance.

Cons

Basically no training, horrible management, underpaid, overworked.

Access to specialists, modern equipment for advanced imaging and in-house diagnostics, ANTECH connections, good benefits

Cons

Company-wide pricing increases (US and Canada) made most services prohibitively expensive for our clients. Predictably, profit principle drives business/administrative decisions more than appropriate/accessible medical care. Poor pay for support staff considering company's profits. At-will on-call status for technicians due to VCA's unwillingness to pay for days on call but rather only time spent in hospital while on call results in unpredictable emergency/overnight call availability for surgical staff.
