Pros

Its a reliable paycheck. It pays the bills, great for experience for your next job. Easy to qualify for job.

Cons

Hours are not flexible. Full time work is only available at night for the position. People are always quitting so the staff is undertrained and over worked.

Pros

Room for advancement if you are willing to go the corporate route. Job security. Easy to relocate. Opportunity to train. Frequent paid seminars.

Cons

Poor pay, worse benefits. Emphasis is on profit and sales, rather than the veterinarians oath. Employees are expected to be equally good salesmen as vets, technicians, etc.

Pros

Can bring dog to work and employee discounts are good. Free CE.

Cons

Paid less than vet assistants, fill in for kennel staff that is allowed to take time off during holidays or when they don't show. Treated like someone with no knowledge or say in the care of a patient. Some teamwork depending on the day and whats being done. Gossip runs wild. No positivity. Poor incentive to continue working in this company. Staff meetings are all talk no action. usually scheduled through surgery time so not everyone can enjoy. Run you ragged and don't care..They say they do but don't bother to change it.
