If you create a healthy environment and have a good team and good medicine but this is despite VCA not because of VCA

Cons

Where do you even begin. Lower than average for the area pay. Higher client costs for GP service than surrounding emergency clinics. Constant price increases “due to cost of living” and salaries do not reflect this. Treating animal care providers like garbage while giving field management insanely high pay, many with none to little veterinary experience. No continuity of care between locations. No acquisition support. Just a very discouraging climate. They are setting a precedent that sets the field up for failure. Money first, patient and in hospital staff care last.

At a certain level it can feel like you have nothing left to learn, it is a corporation that is conscious of payroll and will sometimes require cutting hours, not always willing to pay more
