      Good coworkers. Great benefits, esp if you are single.

      Long hours, expensive parking, scary at night to get from lots to hospital.

      Pros

      VCUHS is a well established medical facility in Richmond, VA. The number of years employees remain employed are astounding. The addition of having the medical school and VCU campus nearby is a strong attraction when looking for a career where you could potentially send your child.

      Cons

      The longevity of many employees also can present itself as a con - lack of outside ideals, nepotism/favoritism is rampant. However, I have witnessed this con at other facilities I've worked for.

      Pros

      VCUHS allowed me to be involved on multiple committees. I really felt like they valued my input. It is a hospital that is a leader in Care Management processes.

      Cons

      Pay was low, benefits were excellent.
