      Pros

      The unit I work in the staff is great. The benefits are good. I like working 3 days a week.

      Cons

      We dont get much of raises or bonuses.The care partners get abused. I think the hospital should budget for more care partners. I dont like getting floated to other units to work because their care partner called out and leaves are unit with out one.

      Great retirements benefits, good insurance, above average pay . Variety of work in my field.

      Cons

      The schedule for Respiratory Therapy could be better but it's sill not that bad. I have seen worse.

      Pros

      The fact that there is tuition reimbursement for 6 credit hours a semester is one of the biggest positives about working for VCUMC. The job is interesting as well, it's different every day. Finally, the other employees are awesome, for the most part they care about doing a good job and presenting a positive image.

      Cons

      The parking situation is abysmal. Having a fee deducted from our pay each month for parking just feels wrong. In essence, we pay to be able to get to work. Parking for free on the street is becoming harder with each new construction project. The employees often feel that supervisors and upper management do not value their contribution. The attitude of many supervisors seems to be that they can always get another person to fill your seat. Expertise, initiative and being proactive often do not seem to be appreciated.
