Not many classes available since change of policy

The only downside I found was if you are sick and need to cancel a class you get penalized. You miss out on your pay AND have to pay a cancellation fee so you end up being in the red.

Communist owned company. They don’t see people as individuals, rather disposable and replaceable dogs. Company has constant app and platform issues and refuses to take any responsibility on their end, instead they blame teachers for everything. They will claim a teacher had internet issues or was late for class, then not pay you for classes taught. It’s their word against yours and you have no voice. A greedy company who raised the cost parents pay for classes and yet lowered teacher pay screwing over many long-time teachers. They will blame any and all classroom issues on the teacher so they can get out of paying them. They do not value or support their teachers. VIPKID treats teachers like a number and not valued, loyal employees. They claim to want diversity, yet the Chinese are the most racist people I’ve ever met. They do not like people of color.

-Canceling classes is difficult -Odd hours (I worked on this platform when it only served Chinese children, so I could only work at night) -If you book classes back to back, it leaves you with only 5 minutes for emergency bathroom breaks -Schedule consistency is reliant upon your ability to draw regular students and popularity of your hours

It requires very early mornings oftenly.

I feel bad they have to start over Since the new regulation in China took place. Not too many students yet to book classes. But I am amazed how they are able to transition themselves So quickly and keeping their business operational.

Parents will book you all up and then cancel after the frenzy leaving you with holes in your schedule like one class at 4:30AM and then the next at 6:00AM
