It was great working at Vitas. If it hadn't been because there was no room for growth I would have stayed. In my experience, the individuals who can really grow in Vitas are the ones in Healthcare, like nurses or anyone pursuing a degree in Health Administration. I'm on the business path and working in this field was not a good choice for me. Keep in mind, it is a stressful job since you are dealing with terminally ill patients; you got to be patient. Staff was nice and managers were helpful as well. Look out for some secretaries who are lazy and will most likely try to dump their work on you.

Fellow employees try and help each when they can

Field staff not support by management, all kinds of offers to help but no follow-thru, management makes decisions without consulting field staff caring for patients, little to no raises, have to use PTO for holidays, no paid holidays off, huge amount of turnover in staff, benefits are expensive, deductibles high and don't cover much
