Pros

I met so many amazing people while working at VSA and got a chance to work on some really great campaigns which provided positive work experience.

Cons

Limited upward mobility has led to many people fleeing the agency over the last 18 months. Many entry level and high level positions exist but very few chances of growing your career from entry to mid level.

Pros

Good people - smart and fun to work with. The work is challenging and interesting. Compensation is good for the industry.

Cons

VSA gets a lot of backwash from the endemic issues that plague their primary client, which reflects as a lack of clarity, constantly changing tides, constantly changing management. A lot of people get burned out with this.

Pros

Friendly people, great attitude generally. Very Midwestern, laid-back vibe for the most part. Only certain members of the account teams could be called aggressive, and that's pretty much the nature of the beast. A lot of partners and associate partners running around, which should make you feel like there are many people invested in the future of the company.

Cons

Not very digital outside of the IBM work, which is constrained by IBM's own technology limitations. Easy to feel that you're not learning or progressing, that you're just a warm billable body. Account people meant to be leading the process but they often know very little about the work so it can be quite disorganized and top heavy, not to mention wasteful re: budget and time. Waterfall even on the projects that are supposed to be agile.
