Good co-workers, only way for advancement is favoritism.

Pros

I have been with Valley Hope for over 2 years . The pros of the company continue to decline with each month. The new CEO has been on the job for 6 months and I haven't seen any positive changes. But hey, I have good co-workers and have learned a lot.

Cons

Still plenty of favoritism in the company even after the lay-offs. Lack of acknowledgement and promotion possibilities. There are some in leadership roles that really shouldn't be there. Throughout this company there are departments with "leaders" that have a authoritarian-micro management style. Very power hungry. Then there are those that work when they feel like it. This company needs to fix and find a good balance in their leadership teams from top to bottom before they lose any more good employees from terrible leadership. The benefits are terrible and expensive for what they are. Employee's at the lower level are not compensated for the amount of work they put in. Many good workers have left because of this.

Pros

Helping alcoholics to recover through 12 steps.

Cons

Inexperienced leadership at several levels, this impacts everyone. Financial problems led to benefits being cut and many layoffs. This company is ripe for being bought out.

Pros

It was rewarding work and I loved seeing patients get better, restore their relationships

Cons

Leadership is very, very poor. In the end the leadership will throw you under the bus to save their own necks or protect the corporate image. Lawsuits abound in this company!!!! Beware.
