Business Outlook

Pros

Agile technology; Allows freedom with respect to self organized team. The members of my team were great. The concept of delivering software in an iterative fashion is an excellent idea. As a small company, you have an opportunity to try a variety of roles which is great for young engineers

Cons

Current Valtech leadership is willing to slash and burn with regard to employment decisions. Power seems to be consolidated in a very select group. Executive leadership does not seem trust worthy. Company does not value junior employees and is looking to only hire senior talent. Benefit package is sub par compared with industry average.

Pros

Valtech truly hires the best and the brightest, among the rank and file. Valtech has reasonable salary levels, good bonus structures and some excellent supplemental benefits; EPP is excellent.

Cons

Leadership. A great quote comes to mind, "people don't leave companies they leave leaders". The current leadership team is fragmented and lacks direction; confused. The current leadership philosophy is to hire almost exclusively from the outside, irrespective of role and disregard some of the extraordinary talent within; referring to all current employees as disgruntled.
