Pros

None to speak of really.

Cons

Company full of acquisitions with no central leadership. All talk no action. No care about quality of work or doing well for the clients, all about EBITDA and getting ready for the next round of a sale to a new Private Equity company.

Pros

The consultants doing the work are incredibly intelligent, talented, kind people

Cons

Executives lack ability to communicate changes to personnel, processes, benefits. Very few opportunities for new projects resulting in multiple rounds of layoffs per year. Significant gatekeeping in promotion process

I appreciate the time you took to submit a review. We have internal outlets to garner employee feedback which drives change across our business. One example of this is our annual employee engagement survey which has led to improved firm-wide communications ceremonies and our employee value proposition. With the opportunity areas you’ve mentioned, I’d highly recommend you plug into internal feedback mechanisms like our Executive Office Hours, your Practice Leader, or even a member of my team to surface your perspective. We’ve seen that using these outlets directly have led to the biggest changes which improve our workplace. I look forward to evolving our workplace together. Thank you for your review. - Head of People

Pros

There are some (although that number is going down fast) smart people that you can learn from. The NY office is in a cool location and if you live in the city, this is a convenient commute, not more than 5-10 minutes walk from major subway lines. The merger with the Texas based IT company Adea a few years ago has provided a little bit of financial stability.

Cons

The HR department is a joke--very slow to respond to basic questions and concerns. Benefits keep getting trimmed. Serious lack of interesting work--the company is trying to be a digital agency and shake its IT consulting image, but it is quite a struggle to win clients because of our IT legacy and lack of creative skills. The management in NY is from Europe and they simply do not communicate well. For example, senior managers do not hold regular briefings to help you understand how you fit into the organizational goals--basic stuff. The lack of personal growth is a severe detriment--they are always in a budget crunch so forget about going to conferences or undertaking career development training.
