Pros

Great benefits like PTO, only work 3 days/week

Cons

For you much you're paid, you could probably choose an easier job elsewhere for the same pay. Hard to get employed with other positions even as an employee within Vanderbilt. Long shifts. Unpleasant work culture. SUPER unsanitary throughout hospital- employees do not clean up after their work. High turnover rate.

Pros

Get high volume experience with a variety of simple to complex specimens

Cons

You rotate locations, and hours on a weekly basis Pay is less than other similar positions in the area with little negotiation Poor management Do not work directly under Pathologists, under Operations dept Required to map several specimens eating into workflow
