Pros

Great benefits. If you are in the right spot, you can learn a lot. If you have the right boss and not some 24 year old right out of school as your team leader

Cons

Where to begin? Pay - below average. I got an offer of 20% more to work at JP Morgan in DE. The company is too focused on intellectual ability and no emphasis on basic ability to do the job, especially in management. Too much of a focus on advancing those who are in favor. No understanding of why they are in favor.

Pros

At vanguard you will be working with very nice, approachable people. The access to Vanguard University and their learning and development programs are great ways to develop professionally.

Cons

Very conservative. Need to wear a suit and tie four days a week despite lack of face-to-face communication with clients.
