      Decent place to start - but be ready to move on

      Pros

      It's a decent place to start in gaining professional experience and the people are enjoyable to work with on the whole.

      Cons

      The requirements for time and job and the overall interview process make it extremely difficult to move elsewhere and extremely easy for it's employees to become complacent and avoid any future challenges. Additionally, the inflexible environment regarding process improvement removes any motivation to maintain a focus on the ability to innovate and improve.

      Pros

      Part of the solution of the financial industry. What they do really makes employees feel like they are part of the solution and not the problem. Also the work is really good for new technical employees in order to get your feet wet. You'll get access to large databases, large applications, and other great toys to start your carrer.

      Cons

      Bad salaries, and at times really buracratic. My manager was great, but his manager wasn't as okay. So the leadership on that level is really hit or miss depending on who he/she is rather than the department that they are in.

      Job security is amazingly awesome!

      Cons

      I can only speak for the IT division where I work. The company is based on old school values. They'll preach about how their technology is cutting edge, but they're FAR from it. It's a big bloated ship to be honest. Just look at the dated website, it's a complete mess. Way too many middle managers, way to many people sitting around pretending to be working hard, just collecting a paycheck and smiling.
