Pros

Veeco has strong, best-in-class technology in all areas of their five business units and a strong team culture. Because of their market leadership and strong balance sheet they are followed by more investment analysts than other companies their size, which speaks volumes about future growth. I'm a seasoned professional that likes collaboration and flat organizations - Veeco is the one for me.

Cons

Veeco is spread out with sometimes too lean teams, requiring more coordination and outsourcing dependency

Pros

Exciting technology. Dynamic market. High level professionals. World leader in AFM. Wide variety of other technologies: film deposition, epitaxy, optical and AFM metrology. Clear business and industry orientation.

Cons

Not that many Cons. May be a bit too much politics where it should not be. Sometimes unclear distribution of duties and chain of comand.

Competitive salary, matching 401K, flexibility, can work from home, free coffee.

Cons

Selling products before they are designed. Major pressure and stress to complete the tasks to design/manufacture prior to shipping tools. Everything is a fire and urgent every single hour of everyday. Transition to market is too fast. Very limited resources and we wear many hats.
