Pros

Great colleagues Nice office in a very expensive location Free coffee, fruit and snacks Perfect place if you totally lack of ambitions

Cons

Flat structure, it’s almost impossible to grow inside the company and you won’t move to different areas if you don’t have some friend inside. Ridiculous high and middle management with no people management skills at all and sometimes without communication and language skills. Totally absence of flexibility in every field. Salaries below the average. Obvious and disconcerting discrimination between contractor and veeva employees as between DS and different departments out in the open. DS, especially contractors, are never invited to any company event, but they are allowed to eat the remains of food after the events, as you do with dogs. Cutting costs seems to be the only purpose of the management. Extremely boring and monotonous work. Primitive audit system.

Pros

In general, it's a awful company and limited grow for anyone's career, too much politics, mangers care more about themselves and their territories, no tactical vision, and don't want to support employees growing.

Cons

Terrible managers, inexperienced team members, overtime work and low pay... The products Veeva built were terribly bad, still using old school' technologies, can't make them more sucks. Only reason it still worked is the medical companies want to spend money and there're not much serious competitors in such vertical sector.

Pros

- Free lunch - Unlimited PTO - Extremely good stock options (changed this year) - Competitive pay - 2% of your income in education - Fitness reimbursement - Work/life balance - Can switch teams, products, or job titles at any time - Huge mix of junior, mid level, and senior engineers. - Engineers from atypical backgrounds (passionate / motivated). - Week break at the end of the year. - CEO / Upper management seem to know their stuff. For me personally on my team (might apply to others): - Insanely good manager, he purposely wants us to improve our skills for our future. - Manager will be the face of problems that you make. - Everyone on my team is extremely nice, talented, and fit together well. - Occasional events with the team. - Relaxed work sechedules ("9-5" but flexible). I'm curious if other reviews end up with bad teams.

Cons

- Learning all the tech, software, terminology, products is overwhelming initially. - The core software which creates nearly all products is an insanely huge code base. - Huge code base is annoying to develop in due to size, slowness, and VM that's required. - Software growing pains (see last two points). The company has grown very fast and still looks to add thousands of employees in the next few years. - Some teams aren't as friendly. - Some teams are overwhelmed (dev ops seem to need a lot more people). - Lunch is sometimes meh.
