Pros

Consulting was always a remote position so they do a decent job of creating a community even without people in the office some of the best coworkers

Cons

WFH + unlimited PTO actually means you're always working. Even if you get PTO approved ahead of time, that approval can be taken away. 50+ hours is normal and expected. Cult culture and if you don't fit the vision good luck. Lots of favoritism and sometimes feels like an old boys club As an associate you get to be (and often are) the scapegoat if anything goes wrong. Low pay (stocks included) Felt abusive, they tell you if you're struggling it's a reflection on you and that you need more grit while overlooking the fact that they're over staffing you and are holding anyone not in CDP to a lower standard

Pros

Due to the extensive hours and having to customer face as the expert in the life sciences industry chosen for you (clinical, quality, regulatory) you do learn a lot. For new graduates it’s a semi-good starting point but you will quickly want to leave once you have an understanding of the industry and technology. For the most part the people you work with are great and understand your frustrations.

Cons

Pay is under market value. No work life balance- as an associate consultant expect to work at least 50 hour weeks after you honeymoon period of 4-6 months. Associate consultants have the load of the entire project on their shoulders. Expectation is to know absolutely everything about the system as well as to provide guidance to high profile customers with little to no experience. The industry they pick you in could shape your career and you have little to no choice in the matter. Promotions are slim and your hard work is meaningless. Managers do not do their job effectively to promote success and mental well-being for their reports.

Pros

Can do it remotely, not very stressful (at the beginning)

Cons

"Supervision" is a joke and some of the most unprofessional people I have ever met in my life. Lied about my performance to make me want to "work harder" and got caught, staff is rude and unhelpful
