Pros

This company thinks selling their "Max" funded plan saving clients 20% is a game changer but they impact your company more than you know if you are unaware of the hidden cost. No leadership just selling As an employee I have realized that they will flip you like the real estate flippers that flip homes. Only their idea of ruthless execution is just eliminating people without a plan. Chief Benefits Officer is a rudderless impulsive and manipulative individual

Cons

This company has no soul, if you want a paycheck until you realize you are doing more harm than good working at Vensure or its many of brand names, its a choice ok take that short term paycheck. - Suggestion take the negative honest reviews seriously and pick a job elsewhere. This is not a place for a career path its another short-term spot on the resume. Note: it seems Vensure has possibly hired a firm to respond to every honest review of the company from real people. If you find a strange contradiction in the viewpoints. Go with the honest ones and don't invest, don't work here and don't do harm.

Pros

There definitely was work/life balance, PTO accrual was pretty good, coworkers were great

Cons

Working for Vensure had some pros, but definitely many more cons in our department. Our department head would bully and discriminate. At one point while working there I had to go see a counselor due to how I was being treated and some things that were said. When it came time for my last annual review, my department head would not meet with me in person. Other people in my same position get respect but I never did. Your goals, thoughts, ideas...none of that was relevant. I did see other people in the same position in similar departments thrive under wonderful leadership. I was never given that opportunity. If you were male and had children things would be better for you. She was also dating her boss's boss so got away with everything. There was really no one we could go to with any issues we had. It even was a bit uncomfortable seeing them together; the way that they would act when our whole department was together like during our risk summit. I wish that it was a more professional atmosphere that we were able to work in. There was also a video of our department head dancing up on a young male on a work trip. It definitely is not a good example to set for anyone and it is not the behavior of someone I would want to look up to and learn from. Vensure HR is in place to protect the company not the employee.

Pros

The go-to-market strategy ostensibly offers a seller more flexibility to build solutions than any company in this industry. The sales model is ideal for a truly consultative seller to diagnose potential customer challenges, build a tailored solution, a recommend a partnership that fits each clients needs with the flexibility to adapt the partnership to any business change. I think the executive sales leadership is very savvy and talented.

Cons

I came to Vensure from a competitor, and in my training I couldn’t shake the feeling that the organization had the frame of a really nice house, just no walls, doors, windows, or fixtures. That’s probably to be expected with a growing company, but it really hit me when I started profiling myself account list. The business database wasn’t just bad, it was indescribably wrong. Business names didn’t match the addresses or phone numbers, and employee contacts were listed to the wrong accounts. It was a monumental effort each week just to validate enough data just to create a call list. I received some support from the ops team, but there was essentially nothing they could do at that point. My sales leader had no concept for how big of a problem this was and thus provided absolutely no support. I could write an essay on how bad my immediate sales leadership was, but I will sum it up by saying that this was the most I was ever micromanaged, and my first sales job had a GPS tracker on the car so they could count how many customers we visited each day. The final straw was a deal where our flexibility gave us at least an opportunity to genuinely help a business and the human beings working there out of a healthcare insurance nightmare. While the deal was coming together I started getting pressure to firm up my solution recommendations before the major piece of the puzzle came back from underwriting. I was still working to understand the operational and engagement pain points, but my sales leader was looking at the potential to bring an insurance solution that would enable use to pad the deal with a bunch of things they didn’t need or want, but they’d have to say yes because they had no choice. That story encapsulates this sales organization. There is no soul, there is no purpose for it to exist other than to make money for a PE Firm and continue buying regional competitors for market share. There is no mission, there is no culture, and there is no thought to making the lives of their customers and their employees a little better.
