Vensure acquires companies on a regular basis, and prides themselves on that fact. The process of being acquired by them was a difficult experience for my previous tech organization, and resulted in many people leaving voluntarily, on top of the cuts they had to make as part of the acquisition. The primary reason for my own departure? Vensure does very little to support employees. They have a program where you can nominate a colleague if they need financial assistance, they have a company holiday party at year end, that's all fine and well and good. But for the average employee day to day, you're on your own. Vensure is stuck in the Stone Age. Their compensation is not competitive. They have an incredibly un-generous PTO plan, and few paid holidays. It's important to know that they also have extremely expensive medical benefits for families, and barely any paid parental leave (prior to 2023, it was fully unpaid. I believe they now offer 1 month paid). They outsource their HR function for questions to contractors in Colombia (via Solvo, one of their companies), and those folks regularly have to loop in a member of the US-based HR team to address them. This process takes days, showing employees that their concerns are not a priority. Vensure's commitment to diversity is non-existent. They don't offer anything in the way of employee resource groups, no attempt to deliver diversity initiatives. In the month of June they published a list of holidays they were recognizing, including things like Alzheimer’s Awareness Month and National Ballpoint Pen Day. What was missing? Pride Month and Juneteenth. Zero mention of either holiday from the organization in any communications, no events to celebrate and recognize their history. Leadership is primarily white men, with a handful of POC folks. Whenever someone would express concern about diversity in an open forum, the POC leadership would be pointed to, implying that was all it took to create a supportive environment. Outdated tech, outdated policies. The company culture I came from was employee-centric, and ending up here was a disappointment. I would not recommend working here.
