This company is toxic. Any review that claims otherwise is lying or has not been with the company long enough to know otherwise. Their PR team has been going on with the same spiel for years now, yet working conditions have only continued to get worse. They haven't addressed anything, they just changed their work force overseas so they can get away with it easier. Trust that anything this CEO has implemented has been lipstick on a pig in an effort to benefit himself and higher ups, not lower level employees.
This is a very shady company with major slave labor vibes. They act like management is royalty and they are more top heavy than any company I've ever seen. They have a corporate position for the most mundane things you can imagine. At the same time, lower level employees are all being fired and replaced overseas where they are performing the same job duties, at higher volumes, for way less money.
My department was really bad about micromanaging and whenever it was brought to their attention they turned around made a joke of it during team meetings. They were nothing but a hindrance to getting my job done. They implemented several changes that make things harder on the employee. They would often need reminding of simple processes and information, even though these things were well documented. Many times it was clear they had no idea the processes behind our daily work yet would still try to micromanage our day by giving directions that made no sense.
After the merger I lost several long time clients simply because management was screwing up so bad. Yet, in the end, I was the one that lost my job while they suffered no consequences. During my last review, management told me that my performance warranted an above average mark but they had to change it because HR had informed them that reviews could not be anything above midline.
The only thing they did right was giving us a 90 day notice before they fired all of us. However, they didn't even give us time to sit with it and process before they contacted me the NEXT DAY and forced me to walk them, step by step, through how to train my replacement. And even had the audacity to ask why production was low on the day we received the news that we were losing our job.
They preached transparency yet many times upper management was evasive, if not totally untruthful. They took clients from me and gave them to other team members without any explanation. Whenever I asked, they lied and claimed that they weren't doing something even when it was very obvious they were. Despite their claims, those clients never were given back to me, and again, no explanation was ever offered.
When they gave us the news of our layoff they cited "client loss" and then proceeded to brag about the hundreds of overseas employees they had hired due to new clients and transferring existing ones from U.S. based employees. In the weeks leading up to our layoff they reiterated MANY times that production goals were still expected to be met and that for any team members that had low volumes, management had plenty of work to keep them busy. Yet we were losing our jobs due to low volume and client loss...
When we received news of our layoff, they informed us that PTO would not be cashed out and encouraged us to take it, then almost immediately started denying PTO when we requested it. The entire time I had been with the company, not once did I have PTO denied before this. No explanation was given why we could not take PTO as before and when asking around other employees that were not laid off said that they were still able to take PTO without issues.
They changed our annual performance bonus to a strict quarterly production and QA based bonus with goals that were almost impossible to attain. 99.9% of your production goal and they take 25% of your bonus.
Their QA process was riddled with problems. Less than 5 issues out of over a thousand was enough to drop me almost completely below the threshold to qualify for the bonus. When I asked for clarification on what I did wrong, management wasn't even able to tell me. Just be more careful, they said. I thought I already was.
They constantly failed to consider different factors that effect productivity; emails, paid breaks, meetings, required trainings, etc. This was expressed to management multiple times, nothing changed. Obviously quality suffered, even amongst their new overseas employees. Accounts are riddles with errors and you're expected to correct the mistakes of other people. Either you went quickly to make production and made too many mistakes or you went slowly to ensure accuracy and missed production. Either way, the system was designed for you to fail.
The company's behavior was so offensive yet they were VERY proud and unapologetic. Their expectations were a slap in the face whenever the company itself shown ZERO loyalty to it's own employees.
