This place isn't worth the headache
Pros
* Good pay: compared to other local places, the pay rates here are pretty good * Union: this is both good and bad, but the Union is pretty powerful here * Hires from within: There's a couple of positions that have upward mobility, and all Union jobs get posted for Union employees to get first say on
Cons
* Frat management: If you're buddies with the 'cool guys', then you're golden. If you're not, you're time at Veritas will be a nightmare * Shortcuts: Lots of shortcuts taken because 'we don't have money/time' * Elitism: Some Production Managers abuse their power of their employees, and some Laborers treat others extremely poorly and get away with it because they're friends with the PMs * Sinking ship feeling: When Veritas was PDM Bridge, it went bankrupt. Even with new management, it feels like nothing changed and it's only a matter of time before it goes bankrupt again * Band aid fixes: Instead of actually fixing issues, management is happy with just doing cheap, temporary solutions in hopes that the problem goes away * Layoffs: The plant had a bunch of layoffs recently, so job security is only there for people with a lot of seniority * All-talk: Management is all-talk and rarely holds to their word * Communication: Communication and transparency is terrible here; don't expect a straight answer to anything
