Pros

Good place to work, Pay is good. 8000 per year tuition assistance. learn a lot of new things, lots of brilliant people there to learn from . Take advantage of the tuition assistance and all the freebies then roll out.

Cons

Management has little to no technical knowledge. If management likes you then you are likely to move up. Little room to move within the company. Processes are difficult and the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing.

Pros

great pay, flexible schedule, paid overtime, lots of perks and bonuses.

Cons

high stress environment, the expectation is to be #1 at all times, anything less is an opportunity to grow. The position is great for type A, vanilla personalities who fit social norms. If you are alternative, a free thinker, and have a healthy understanding that there is no way to be #1 all of the time, you will not do well with the company. If you are doing well management tends to be embrace and encourage you, which is nice, but be prepared for the opposite if you happen to be less than #1.

Pros

Verizon provides a competitive salary and a good benefits package. They have some good employee benefits such as the reimbursement for college courses and 401 K match.

Cons

The company has deployed systems that do not work and has off shored so many support jobs that customer facing employees spend all of their time trying to get orders fixed and billing correctly. The process is totally broken and the most basic of functions takes weeks to get done. Mid-level Management is focused on keeping their jobs and provides no support to their front line workers. It is the perfect storm of bad management practices, terrible tools and the residual effects of deep job cuts.
