Pros

Vetcove has everything you could want in a small company: a great mission, a service with proven market value that is highly respected in the industry, capable colleagues you can learn from, tons of autonomy and freedom to accomplish your work goals while still having a lot of support and mentoring, freedom to live and work almost anywhere in the U.S. (the company is permanent remote), and lots of opportunity for growth. I can't think of a reason you would NOT want to work at Vetcove if you are a capable employee who's always looking to learn more in your craft and beyond. Cross-team collaboration and transparency are highly valued in the org., and there is a culture that sees mistakes as learning opportunity. Social events are selected by vote, and have been great for cohesion during the pandemic. Both new grads and more experienced employees all really thrive here. 401K has an automatic match even if you don't contribute anything yourself! Upper management knows its employees are its most valuable asset, and is very accessible for conversation with every employee to ensure their happiness.

Cons

Not so much a "con" as having standards, but expectations are high. Everyone is encouraged to take time off and have a life outside of work, but there is no "coasting" on the job. You are expected to pitch in to solve problems cross-functionally as they come up, and encouraged to learn as much about other departments as you need to get the job done, and always understand the business value of what you're doing. So if you have a narrow focus with a "that isn't my job" attitude about your work responsibilities and don't want to grow and expand your horizons beyond your initial experiences, this may not be the place for you.

Pros

Vetcove is a fast-paced startup that prioritizes employee development and satisfaction. The leadership is truly committed to ensuring that every team member has the support and resources they need to succeed and grow. One of the most appreciated aspect is the incredible transparency of the company. The CEO and CTO will frequently update everyone on their decision making process and actively listen to feedback to further improve. The company culture is absolutely awesome! Every person I've met has been incredibly agreeable and supportive. Frequent social events outside of work foster connections and really help with getting to know everyone. Everyone is like-minded in our commitment to helping others and it shows in the work environment. Not to mention the company's impactful mission and product! Vetcove is dedicated to helping veterinarians spend less time doing tedious inventory management and more time actually helping animals, all at no cost to them. In an industry that has historically been slow to adopt new technologies, Vetcove is helping vets save millions of dollars and time. Plus Vetcove is fully remote with flexible work hours.

Cons

Basically none, unless you don't consider fully remote to be a positive...

Pros

At Vetcove, employee happiness is a priority, and with that comes regular check ins to ensure you feel appropriately challenged and have continuous space to grow. Leadership is always more than happy to help you take on exciting new responsibilities. My day-to-day now looks drastically versus six months ago, and it all happened so organically!

Cons

There are none that come to mind!
