No Support or Communication

Pros

Co-workers are very dedicated to the mission and the clients get the best care from the employees. The culture is is very friendly and staff is willing to help .

Cons

Unfortunately the employees do not get the support necessary to keep up at the expected pace demanded by the company. There is no appreciation for what employees do day in and day out for the company. Upper management believes they know what is going on but they are not engaged enough to be effective leaders and then they blame the teams for not achieving goals. Employees do not feel comfortable enough to let those in charge know how problematic the situation is. It is a very challenging company to work for with no support to obtain the vision which I believe in wholeheartedly. Training is not adequate. Takes too long to get through a proper orientation and then people are thrown out into the field unprepared. Salary is not competitive for the area.

Thank you for taking time to post recommendations, I really appreciate it. I agree that upper management needs to be engaged and accessible so people feel comfortable bringing up issues or offering suggestions. I will hold forums to determine where we have issues like this. I will also look into the communication shortcomings to the satellite offices, that is the first time this issue has come up. We are currently working on our orientation process so I will definitely look into the time it takes to get through orientation. Thank you again for your suggestions

Pros

none not one that I can think of

Cons

You will have more miles on your car than a cross country truck driver . The insurance and pto are pathetic , When someone gives 100% to patients and isnt even given a penny raise for years of service it says alot !!

Unfortunately, it is true that with home health our patients could live miles apart from another patient which means more miles to drive. We do provide mileage reimbursement that covers gas, maintenance, and wear and tear on vehicles. It is simply not true that we do not give raises. We realize that our services are only as good as the caregiver providing the service so our goal is to always compensate and treat our employees with the utmost respect. Our turnover rates are well below industry average which should give a good indication that we do provide raises and treat our employees with dignity and respect.

Great Leadership

Pros

Great pay and mileage reimbursement. Pay used to be tied to productivity numbers and so it wasn't consistent but that was changed in 2017 and we now get a flat base rate and the opportunity for a bonus each month if we hit our productivity goal. Flexible work schedule. Great team and leaders.

Cons

We don't see the CEO very often in our psych clinic because we are more segregated than the rest of the office staff. Can be lots of driving depending on where clients live.
