Pros

Promote from within culture. I started as a Sales Associate and after a year I was promoted to an Operations and Staffing Supervisor. Smaller volume stores allow for more in-depth learning of different areas/teams and sharing a variety of responsibilities. Overall great place to work, a lot of company training and development. Not sure if they still currently have a commission based sales system, but allows for extra income and bonuses.

Cons

Hours can be tiresome during peak holidays. I was part time but I was working 38+ hours weekly and 40+ hours during holiday season. Managers play a vital role in team function and work place environment.

Pros

Good discounts, good hours, fun, and fast paced.

Cons

Poor management, a lot of favoritism, they will schedule you out of your availability and get mad you cant make it, they will schedule you more than 7 days in a row, sometimes schedule you till 10pm one night and schedule you at 2am the next morning, management is very inconsiderate and selfish. Very hard to ask for a raise and be granted it, they want you to work a lot and do the most for the littlest pay they're able to give you. Customers are very needy and treat you like their slave, management also sometimes hurries you on your break or wont send you till 4 hours in. A lot of drama and gossip also.

Pros

Great training for a first-time job. They also give a decent employee discount (30% off)

Cons

Unequal pay. As soon as I found out they were paying new hires (with zero work experience!) more than I was making as an employee who had been working there for ~1.5 years, I brought this up with management. They said I am "ineligible" for a raise because I wasn't making their impossible store goals. As soon they told me this, I quit. They're also sexist. Another coworker I had run into months later said that she was told she needs to "dress up more" and "wear more makeup" in order to land a management position.
