Pros

The marketing team was wonderful. Everyone on the team was treated like a real person - and leadership cared about personal and professional growth. This was due to an amazing leader that cultivated a culture of respect. Unfortunately person is no longer at Vida.

Cons

I would never work at Vida if I was part of any other team. I would tell anyone I know to stay far away. A recent change in ceo and some of the other leaders made Vida an insufferable place to work. Profits have come at the cost of human decency. If you’re considering a role on the client success team (or if you have a role that interacts with that team in ANY capacity) - RUN far far away. Especially if you are a woman in the earlier stages of your career. I assumed that a team full of women would uplift their younger peers but that is not the case - there are a few members who took every opportunity they had to tear me (and my team) down. This team is full of bullies who “don’t care about being nice - they are just there to do a job and not make friends”. Yes that is a real quote. I spent every day getting torn down by people who don’t respect their coworkers or processes. If you’re considering a role on the product team and are a woman - also run far far away. The product team is boys club who believe they run the company. They think they know best and will bully you into doing what they want while never partnering to support other teams. They think their time is more valuable than anyone else at the company and it’s regular practice to flat out ignore people - making partnership impossible. I chose to leave Vida after 5 years and made great friends from the marketing team. Unfortunately I don’t have any positive things to say about the company culture, employees, or the direction it’s going with new leadership.

Diversity Issue

Pros

Used to have great coworkers. Most have left.

Cons

Diversity is performative. Here's an example: the therapy management team used to be diverse (approx half were POC). There was diverse experience and thought. New leadership came in and let go of EVERY SINGLE person of color. From a team of about 15 people. The team went from 50% POC to 100% white. They said lay offs were not based on performance. 100% white. Difficult to believe. Even the Spanish speaking team was now being led by non-Spanish speakers. If you are a person of color, this is just one example. You've been warned.
